The Bahamas government has announced a last-minute extension to the deadline for companies to report under the Commercial Entities (Substance Requirements) Act 2018 by a further month. The deadline has already been extended once, from September 2020 to 31 December 2020, and the Ministry of Finance says it will not apply late-filing penalties for entities that report before the end of January 2021. Over 17,500 entities had completed their 2019 reporting by the end of 2020, but thousands of companies and other entities failed to meet the deadline...
