Today (30 September) is the deadline for Jersey companies to file their first annual confirmation statements of beneficial ownership information to the Register of Directors and Significant Persons. The Jersey Financial Services Commission (JFSC) says that most of the jurisdiction's 33,000 companies have already filed or are on track to meet the deadline. However, it says it is working with 'a small minority' of companies to make sure they fulfil this legal requirement, introduced this year to replace the annual return for companies not administered by trust company or fund services providers.
